Pastoral Care
The majority of pastoral care in our Church is provided through our Home Groups. Most of our regular attendees are in a Home Group and so we encourage those groups to look after their own members. This works really well and hardly a day goes by when we don't hear of someone cooking someone else a meal or helping them move house or babysitting for them or mowing their lawn while they are away etc. This is the Church in action - caring for each other in whatever way we need.
However, there are those who are not in home groups and many others who get sick and are hospitalised who may not attend our Church but identfy themselvles as Baptist. This is where our Pastoral Care Team get to work.
Under the guidance of Sharon, Jean & Leila - people are visited, casseroles are delivered and needs are met for hundreds of people each year.
The Pastoral Care Team meet every week to review the needs, check up on those who are in hospital or in need to special care.
They are also committed to praying for all the needs which arise - and that is a vitally important part of this ministry.
