Worship
Our times together before God are very precious and we place a high importance on developing a strong worship ministry. In speaking of worship here, we are referring to the special time we have together as the body of Christ to praise and worship God. It is most often in our Sunday Services, but occurs in Home Groups and other ministries also.
Of course in the wider sense, we know that worship is that which we do 24 hours a day as we glorify God in every area of our lives. However there is something quite profound about focused corporate worship. All through the ages when the people of God have gathered intentionally to give Him praise and glory … His Spirit is poured out afresh upon His people.
In many ways, worship has been the ‘flagship’ of Orange Baptist Church – especially when we look at the resources and effort we have poured into the music ministry, which forms a vital part of our worship together.
We now have lots of musicians, singers, worship leaders, technical support people and those involved in drama and other creative ministries. In total, there would be over 40 people involved in some way in this vital ministry. This is the highest proportion of involvement and commitment we have ever seen. |

It has been a special blessing to see our young people raised up in this ministry and mentored as musicians, singers, leaders and drama ‘stars’. We try to have an equipping priority in all our ministries, but it is especially important when it comes to raising up the next generation of worshippers.
